Margaret 'Kathleen' Siekeres
Margaret "Kathleen" Siekeres, 91, died Tuesday at the Sunnyview Home. She previously lived with her daughter, Judy, in Portersville since the death of her husband.
Born May 30, 1915, in Portage, Ohio, she was the daughter of Kurt and Merle Frisbie Amos.
She was a1937 graduate of Bowling Green State University in Ohio. She taught home economics following her graduation; and later she was happy when she could switch to teaching high school mathematics, which was more her field. Her last job was teaching at the Elmwood School District in Ohio.
She was a member of the High Street United Methodist Church, Fostoria, Ohio.
Surviving are two daughters, Judy Elphinstone of Portersville and Janet (Kurt) Goszyk of Washington Crossing, Bucks County; and seven grandchildren. She also is survived by a sister-in-law.
Her husband, Albert Siekeres, who had taught in the Fostoria School system for years, died in July 2001. A brother also preceded her in death.
