3 injured in Tuesday crash in Butler Township
Three people sustained injuries, one requiring a flight to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, following a three-vehicle crash involving two parked cars Tuesday, March 2, in Butler Township.
The crash occurred at 1:21 p.m. in front of the Lyndora U.S. Post Office on Whitestown Road. Butler Township police said Sue Domhoff, 60, of Butler, struck a parked car occupied by Sandra Erdos, 73, of Butler.
Erdos’ vehicle was then pushed into the vehicle of Todd Eichenauer, 62, of Cheswick.
Police said Erdos had one foot on the ground as she was attempting to exit her vehicle at the time of the crash. She struck her head on the inside of the windshield after the impact, police said.
She was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital then flown to UPMC Presbyterian for a concussion and laceration to her head.
Domhoff and Eichenauer sustained minor injuries and were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital.
One lane of Whitestown Road was closed for over an hour, police said. Butler Township Volunteer Fire District assisted.
