A plethora of the city’s most popular events are set to hit the streets once again this year.

Butler City Council voted unanimously Thursday, Feb. 26, to approve a list of events starting in May.

Butler Downtown’s Foodie Fridays are set to return to the North Main Street parking lot May 15, June 19, July 17 and Aug. 21. Some parking restrictions and road closures will be in effect.

The fourth annual Sips in the City, also organized by Butler Downtown, is set for May 2 and will result in no closures.

Friends of the Bantam Jeep Association’s Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival is also approved to “invade” downtown, closing a number of city roads between 3:30 and 10:30 p.m. June 12.

Butler Rotary Club PM’s newest event, Steeples and Stacks Heritage Weekend, will run July 10 and 11. Some parking restrictions and road closures will be in effect.

The Butler Fall Festival was approved to close Main Street, from Wayne Street to Brady Street, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 26.

Center for Community Resources’ Bundle Up Butler event has been approved to use the city’s farmers market Oct. 9.
