Miller Minutes: Dance through the rain at events this weekend

I thought April showers brought May flowers. Have we fast-forwarded through time?

While this March is shaping up to be soggy (and I haven’t seen a rainbow yet), it is giving me time to think about some of the best rain scenes of cinema and rain-themed songs. So, I thought I would break some down for you to enjoy while you’re cooped up inside waiting for a fun-filled weekend.

Films with great rain scenes:

  • “The Notebook”
  • “Pride and Prejudice”
  • “Cinema Paradiso”
  • “Singin’ in the Rain”
  • “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”
  • “The Shawshank Redemption”

Songs about rain:

  • “Purple Rain” by Prince
  • “Here Comes the Rain Again” by Eurythmics
  • “It Will Rain” by Bruno Mars
  • “Set Fire to the Rain” by Adele
  • “November Rain” by Guns N’ Roses
  • “Have You Ever Seen The Rain?” by CCR
  • “Fire and Rain” by James Taylor
  • “Rain on Me” by Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande
  • “It’s Raining Men” by The Weather Girls
  • “Rain is a Good Thing” by Luke Bryan

If you’re not too busy taking in all the rain content I mentioned, I want to draw attention to what is happening despite the rain. It doesn’t stop us from planning events to fill your weekend!
