Trevor Barkley

Trevor Barkley, 17, of Harmony, priceless son, brother, grandson and friend, was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Wednesday.

Trevor was a precious, personable, outgoing, well-dressed young man with beautiful blue eyes and a great smile, and he was loved by all. He enjoyed many outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, BMX biking, skateboarding, snowboarding and working on his car. He enjoyed spending time with friends, family and his girlfriend, Ariana.

Trevor also valued work and was employed at Walgreens in Zelienople and the Ichiban Steakhouse in Cranberry Township, using his earnings to pursue his passions. He also enjoyed playing Xbox, guitar and writing songs.

Trevor planned on becoming a volunteer firefighter for Zelienople as well as pursuing a career in law enforcement as a state trooper following his senior year at Seneca Valley High School. Despite his active schedule, Trevor valued talking with his family and friends above all else.

He is survived by his father, Jeffrey Barkley and his wife, Amy of Zelienople; his mother, Linda Gass and her husband, Terry, of Harmony; his sister, Callie Dyess of South Carolina; his stepsisters, Nycole Gass of Zelienople, Stephanie Gass of Harmony and Caitlyn Cumberland of Zelienople; his stepbrothers, Nathan and Logan Cumberland, both of Zelienople; his paternal grandmother, Marian Barkley of Bradford Woods; his paternal grandfather, Bill Gutierrez of Oklahoma; his maternal grandmother, Sherry Gutierrez of Texas; his girlfriend, Ariana Gremmer of Cranberry Township; and his niece, Isabella Cumberland.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald R. Barkley.

<B>Barkley </B>— Friends of Trevor Barkley, who died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Social Room at the Grace Church of Harmony in Harmony. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Grace Church of Harmony with the Rev. Peter J. Everett, his church pastor, officiating.
