Those in Adams Township will find themselves with one less dining option by the start of next month, as the Wendy’s location at the Adams Shoppes shopping center will close permanently on March 1.

The closing was confirmed by a manager at the restaurant on Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 24.

The Wendy’s restaurant chain announced in an earnings call earlier this month that it intends to close hundreds of locations across the U.S. due to the company’s financial under-performance.

It is unknown whether the closure of this particular Wendy’s is part of this mass closure of locations or if this is an isolated and unrelated closure.

The site of the Adams Shoppes Wendy’s was once home to a Dairy Queen location, which also closed.
