Orton's 32 lift Falcons

Carmody hits for 31 in loss for Mars in Fla.

Levi Orton poured in 32 points — 22 coming in the first half — as the A-C Valley boys basketball team outlasted Venango Catholic 75-50 Thursday night.

Orton made 15 field goals. Venango Catholic made just nine as a team.

Eddie Stevanus added 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Falcons.

Mark Livingston rolled a 700 series with a high game of 249 to lift the Freeport boys to a 5-2 win over Kiski.Livingston also had a 244 game.Julia Cummings had a 501 series for the Freeport girls in a 7-0 sweep of Kiski. Her high game was 222.

Andrew Arbanas, Riley Rodgers, Taryn Thompson, Michael Davis, Chance Downing, Kolton Goss and Cody Stroup all shot 100s in Butler's 799-56 to 793-39 win over Mt. Lebanon.

The Slippery Rock girls 200 medley relay team of Alyssa Olshanski, Natalie Double, Maggue Massella and Gracie Olshanski swam another District 10 qualifying time, but the Rockets fell to Grove City 106-58.On the boys side, Ryan Hinkle won the 50 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke, Conner Wallace claimed the 100 freestyle and 200, but the Rocket boys lost 62-52.

Paul Zecca scored a pair of goals, but Freeport dropped a 5-3 decision to Westmont Hilltop.Nico DiSanti also scored for the Yellowjackets.
