Workshops for job seekers slated at area churches
Three churches and a management consulting firm will offer job seeker workshops to help people who are looking for employment.
The free workshops are being organized by the Center for Individual & Organizational Effectiveness and hosted by St. Wendelin and St. Paul Roman Catholic churches in Butler and St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Cabot.
Butler PA CareerLink and CareerTRACK also will provide materials.
At these programs, participants will learn about such topics as resume writing, interviewing, job searching, recruiters and programs for veterans, and community programs to help the unemployed.
The two-part workshops are planned at:
• St. Wendelin: Monday for part one and Tuesday for part two, both from 1:30 to 5:45 p.m. at 211 St. Wendelin Road, Butler
• St. Paul: Oct. 27 for part one and Oct. 28 for part two, both from 8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at 128 N. McKean St., Butler
• St. Joseph: Oct. 27 for part one and Nov. 3 for part two, both from 4:15 to 8:30 p.m. at 315 Stoney Hollow Road, Cabot.
