Zelie police search school
ZELIENOPLE — Connoquenessing Valley Elementary School was searched Thursday afternoon after a comment about a bomb was found written on a restroom wall.
Seneca Valley School District officials contacted the Zelienople Police Department, according a letter sent to parents from Superintendent Tracy Vitale.
The police got the call at 3:45 p.m. and searched the building, finding nothing. They were done by about 6:30 p.m.
“The threat has been found to be noncredible, and the building has been deemed safe by police,” the letter states. “School will proceed tomorrow as normal.”
The district is working with the police to investigate this incident. The police do have a video which they hope will help solve this case.
The district asks parents to talk with their children about the seriousness of making these types of threats, the letter states.
