Cheryl Johnston, 59, of Chicora, passed away Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026.

She was born in Butler on Nov. 28, 1966, to the late Harold and Janet (Flick) Davis.

Cheryl graduated from Butler High School. She started her career at Printing Press and most recently worked at 3B’s Tobacco.

Cheryl enjoyed the quiet country life and the simple things at home, like spending time with her family, reading and couponing. She loved her animals and in her free time, enjoyed going to the casino.

Cheryl was known for being a devoted mother, wife and grandma. She was dependable, hardworking, generous and caring. She had an infectious laugh and would always put others first.

Her family was her whole world.

Cheryl was the beloved wife of Scott Johnston since their marriage on Aug. 27, 2005; mother of Amber (Justin) Angerett, Tara (Colton Weston) Selfridge, Katie (Josh McBride) Johnston and Nick (Ariana) Johnston; sister of Harold Davis Jr., John Davis and Tracey Fencil; and grandmother of Logan Smith, Kennedy and Kayden Weston, Maximus Melik, Liam McBride, Rohen Angerett, and Griffin and August Johnston.

JOHNSTON — Family and friends of Cheryl Johnston, who died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A closing prayer will immediately follow in the funeral home.
