Robert Aaron
Robert L. Aaron, 87, of Butler, passed to his final resting place on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, at Newhaven Court at Clearview.
He was born on March 18, 1938, in Butler, son of the late Joseph and Suebelle (Gough) Aaron.
Robert, known as “Bob” to his family and friends, graduated from Butler High School in 1956. After graduating, he proudly served our country by enlisting in the U.S. Army, where he served for two years, earning the rank of private first class. He then went on to work at Armco Steel, where he worked for 36 years, and retired as the maintenance foreman in 1994. He was also a longtime member of Faith United Presbyterian Church.
Robert enjoyed traveling with his family, boating, water skiing (he salmon skied into his 70s), spending time with his beloved Maltese, Joe, as well as spending time with his loving family. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and hot rod cars. In addition, Robert was an avid fan of all of the Pittsburgh sports teams, especially the Penguins.
Robert is survived by the mother of his children, Sally (Zarnick) Aaron; his daughter, Jody (James) Campbell; his son, Robert M. (Laurie) Aaron; as well as his three grandchildren, Austin Campbell, Devin Campbell (Erica) and Zachary Aaron.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Sallianne Aaron.
AARON — Per the wishes of the family, a celebration of life will be held at a later date for Robert L. Aaron, who died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026.
