Gregory Knapp

Knapp

Gregory Knapp, 62, of Zelienople, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026.

Born Oct. 30, 1963, in Butler, he was the son of the late Francis Lee and Marie A. Korczynski Knapp.

Greg spent his life fixing things. His job as a maintenance mechanic left him with valuable experience to help out those around him. It was often said, no matter the problem, he could figure it out.

He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved gardening, hunting and had a true appreciation for nature’s gifts. He loved birds and could identify most species in Western Pennsylvania by their song alone. Greg took pride in his property and his home he built in the woods. He loved to watch the Steelers with his wife, Dana. He was a fan of the arts and greatly enjoyed music.

Gregory was a generous man with a quiet presence; he was always helping people. Above all, he loved and cherished his family. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 41 years, Dana Knapp; his children, Kaleb (Madison Brown), Emily (Chris) Mermigas, and Hannah; his sister, Alissa M. (Matthew) Geller; and numerous nieces and nephews.

KNAPP — Friends and family of Gregory Knapp, who died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, will be received from 4 p.m. until the time of the celebration of life service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
