North Catholic girls wrap up section crown

Butler resident Kylee Lewandowski scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds Monday night as North Catholic clinched its section title with an 83-41 girls basketball win at Burrell.

Lewandowski sank four of her five shots from beyond the arc.

The once-beaten Trojanettes placed five players in double figures. Sarah Berardelli added 13 points, Tess Myers 12, Branygan Bianchin 10, Belle O'Hara 10 points and 10 rebounds.

North Catholic jumped out to a 28-3 lead on the Bucs in the first quarter.

Andrea Meals scored 10 points for A-C Valley, which had nine players score in the contest.
