Donald Briner
Donald James Briner, 65, of Boardman, Ohio, formerly of Butler, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio.
Born June 12, 1960, he was the son of Philip M. Briner, of California, and Mary Jane Heller Lang, of Portersville.
He was a 1979 graduate of Butler High School and he was employed at Ron Joy Nursing Home in Boardman, Ohio, for 24 years. He was also employed at Masters Security Services and was a bartender as The Pastime Bar for nearly 25 years, where he made many friends.
Don is survived by two sisters, Diane R. McFeaters, of Butler, and Hope Ann (Jeff) Stoner, of Fenelton; one brother, Michael L. (Vicki) Briner, of Portersville; four nieces; four nephews; two great-nieces and two great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Edward W. Lang; two sisters, Debrah R. Briner and Terri L. Briner Gould; and one brother, David R. Briner.
BRINER — A private service for Donald James Briner, who died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026, was held Feb. 4, at EDWARD J. FOX FUNERAL HOME, Boardman, Ohio.
Per his wishes, Don will be laid to rest with his family at West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
