Reese

Darla K. Reese, 35, of Butler died Friday at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a long, brave battle with cancer.

Born Aug. 28, 1971, in Butler, she was a daughter of Howard E. and Judy A. Takacs Christie and the late Katie Kowal Christie, who died in 1985.

She was a 1990 graduate of Butler High School and had been a deli manager at Friedman's Supermarket.

Mrs. Reese was a member of First United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening, fine dining, traveling and riding motorcycles.

Surviving are her husband, Curtis W. Reese, whom she married June 12, 2004; two sons, Joseph and David Cicco; her parents of Butler; a sister, Colleen Christie of Butler; a brother, Howard "Howie" Christie Jr. of Butler; three stepbrothers, Joe, Jason and Nathan Gaydek, all of Sharon; her paternal grandparents, Howard and Devona Christie of Hilliards; her step-maternal grandparents, Steve and Lorraine Takacs; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Shelley Lynn Christie; and her maternal grandparents.

<B>REESE </B>—<B> </B>Friends of Darla K. Reese, who died Friday, June 1, 2007, will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A memorial service will follow at 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. David Panther, her church pastor, will officiate.
