Joanne Glasgow
Joanne Marie Glasgow, 89, of Butler, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026.
Born Aug. 31, 1936, in Middletown, Ohio, Joanne was the oldest child of Roy K. Fowler Sr. and Freda Elizabeth “Liz” Fowler.
She was married to James D. Glasgow on June 8, 1956, and together they shared 40 years of marriage until his passing in 1996.
Joanne was known for her endless creativity, benevolent spirit, devotion to family and her red hair. As a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Butler, she led a funeral dinner committee.
For many years, she volunteered as a hospice companion, was a member of the Butler County Symphony Association and worked in the bookstore at Butler County Community College. She was known for her love of baking, especially cookies, and was an incredible seamstress — designing dresses for weddings, proms, formal events and crafting hundreds of baby blankets.
She enjoyed performing as “JoJo” the clown with her grandchildren and dog, BooBoo, to lighten the spirits of children and adults alike.
She is remembered by her loving family, brother, Bob Fowler (Jean Fowler); sister, Judy Jones; daughters, Sharon Perschke (Tim Perschke) and Joy Bernhard (Mike Bernhard); daughter-in-law, Luann Glasgow; grandchildren, Philip Glasgow, Corey Glasgow, Dawn Heinz, Gretchen Perschke, Kyle Perschke (Marissa Perschke), Kamryn Luchkiw (Evan Luchkiw), Mikayla Bernhard and Kylee Joanne Bernhard; great-grandsons, Asher Glasgow and Weston Heinz; and great-granddaughter, Everleigh Joy Luchkiw.
Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; son, Donnie Glasgow; and two brothers, Roy K. Fowler Jr. and Bill Fowler.
