Patricia Darlene Lindey Anderson, 79, of Portersville, passed peacefully on Saturday morning, Jan. 31, 2026, at Autumn Grove in Harrisville, following a lengthy illness.

Patty was born in Ellwood City on April 29, 1946, to George “Irv” Irvin Lindey and Margaret Francis Reichert Lindey.

Patty was a graduate of Slippery Rock High School, Class of 1964. She retired from Slippery Rock University, where she was employed for 30 years. Patty had a love for animals, especially horses and dogs. She had a passion for gardening, mowing her lawn and she was an outstanding cook and baker.

Patty is survived by son, Timothy Anderson, of Slippery Rock; significant other, Pete Wimer, of Portersville; sister, Vanessa (Patrick) Carr, of Tucson, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Judith Lindey and Frances (Gerald) Magee; and great-nephew, Sean Sweithelm.

ANDERSON — There will be no public services for Patricia Darlene Lindey Anderson, who died Saturday morning, Jan. 31, 2026.

Arrangements are by SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Slippery Rock.
