Anthony G. Kuminkoski, 62, of Albuquerque, N.M., formerly of Butler, passed away Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, at the New Mexico VA Healthcare System.

He was born Dec. 24, 1963, in Butler, son of the late Benjamin and Carmella (Albini) Kuminkoski.

Anthony graduated from Knoch High School in 1982. Anthony then enlisted in the U.S. Marines, where he proudly served his country for over 13 years, including a tour during Desert Storm, as well as a tour in Somalia, before being honorably discharged in 1996. He then worked as a civilian mechanic for Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, where he worked on various military tanks. In 2000, Anthony decided to reenlist in the military, this time with the U.S. Army, where he proudly served his country for another 16 years, including in Operation Iraqi Freedom, before being honorably discharged in 2016, earning the rank of master sergeant.

He was also a lifetime member of the Roman Catholic faith. Anthony enjoyed restoring cars and motorcycles, refurbishing various things, exercising, going to the casino, cooking, traveling, as well as spending time with his loving family. He was also a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Anthony is survived by his son, Anthony (Mariel) Kuminkoski Jr.; his daughter, Britny (Kris Kaminski) Kuminkoski; his four grandchildren, David, Noah, Gabriel and King; his four sisters, Gloria Schwartz, Debra Kuminkoski, Valerie Kuminkoski and Mary (Eric) Senge; his two brothers, Ben Kuminkoski and Donald Kuminkoski; as well as by his numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by his niece, Gabrielle Anthony.

KUMINKOSKI — Family and friends of Anthony G. Kuminkoski, who died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at All Saints Parish, Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler, with Father John Baver officiating.

A military service with full honors will then take place at Calvary Cemetery, followed by the committal service.
