Melody “Millie” Wise, 64, of Butler, passed away Monday, Jan. 26, 2026.

She was born in Butler on July 24, 1961, to the late John McClure and Ellen Griffie.

She received her associate degree and worked as a caregiver.

Millie enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, riding mules, spending time at camp and watching wildlife. She was known for being kind, loving, passionate, supporting and stubborn.

Millie was the beloved wife of the late David Wise; mother of John (Elizabeth) McClure Sr., Brandy Williams and Sebastian Wise; sister of Eleanor Neeley and Perry Griffie; grandmother of Paige, John Jr., Henry and Nakiah McClure and Bentley Williams; and great-grandmother of Ellie Stover and Briella Williams-McClure.

Along with her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her husband and two siblings.

WISE — All services for Melody “Millie” Wise, who died Monday, Jan. 26, 2026, will be held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
