Butler County's great daily newspaper

The winner of Butler County’s student section fan vote is ... the Karns City Gremlins!

Karns City’s Quinn Robinson spoke proudly of the Gremlins’ student section during a Butler Eagle series of stories about the county’s best student sections and themes, how they do what they do and more.

Well, turns out, Robinson may have been on to something.

Karns City fans came out in droves, voting the school’s student section the best in Butler County this week with. The Gremlins earned 34.49% of the vote, 1,022 of the 2,963 cast.

They beat out Knoch (19.51%) and Moniteau (10.87%) as the top three.

Butler finished fourth with 8.54% of the vote, with Slippery Rock (8.17%) close behind. Freeport, North Catholic, Mars and Seneca Valley rounded out the voting.

Robinson and KC girls basketball coach Steve Andreassi spoke highly of how the student section shows out for both basketball teams all year. And that may have played a part in the support. They also cited the close-knit-community aspect of Karns City School District, hailing it as a positive over some schools with much higher enrollment numbers.
