Glenn Miller
Glenn T. Miller, 66, of Butler, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026, with his loving wife by his side.
Born Oct. 7, 1959, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Richard J. Miller and the late Gloria (Thompson) Miller.
Glenn was a 1979 graduate of Moniteau High School, and then went on to earn his associate degree from Butler County Community College, his bachelor's degree from Slippery Rock University, and his diploma from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.
Glenn was a third generation funeral director at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, where he served his community for most of his life. He was on the BC3 board of trustees since 1997, his proudest accomplishment. Glenn had 40 years of service with the Butler Township Volunteer Fire Department, where he held every position except chief, which was by choice. He was also a member of multiple Masonic groups, the Butler Area Street Machine Association, the Butler County Chamber of Commerce, and various other civic organizations throughout Butler County. Glenn will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Leslie (Anderson) Miller, whom he married Sept. 11, 1998; his sister-in-law, Jackie Vaughn and her husband, Jay; his brother-in-law, Tim Anderson and his wife, Gemma; and several nieces and nephews. He is further survived by two sisters.
In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Richard Anderson; his mother-in-law, Ann Anderson; his niece, Jayme Vaughn; and his two beloved beagles, Bailey and Juneau.
MILLER — Family and friends of Glenn T. Miller, who died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026, will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2, at the funeral home, with Pastor David Janz, of First United Methodist Church, officiating.
He will be laid to rest in North Side Cemetery.
