Romanovich earns double-double in win over Grove City: Roundup

Madison Romanovich powered to a 23-point, 12-rebound double-double in Slippery Rock’s 61-42 girls hoops win over neighboring rival Grove City.

Brielle Jordan added 13 points and Vanessa Hinkle another eight.

Union/A-C Valley 45, Forest 30 — Maddy Dehart posted 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Mal Fair had 10 points. The Falcon Knights climbed to 6-9 overall, with a 2-6 mark in KSAC play.

West Allegheny 54, Mars 43 — Alexis Cashdollar poured in 20 points and Karmella Vigliotti 15 more, but the Planets couldn’t bring home a win.

Seneca Valley 50, North Allegheny 36 — Reece McFadden had 19 points in the win, while Natalie Hambly drew nearer to the Raiders’ career scoring record with 10 more.

Cranberry 36, Moniteau 34 — Alyssa Thompson led the Warriors with nine points.

Boys basketball

Andrew Zepeda had a team-high 14 points, while Brendin Sankey and Dawson Cook both had 10, but Moniteau fell to Cranberry 63-55.

Union 62, Forest 34 — Trent Fleming lead the Knights with 15 points. Jackson Renwick finished with 10.

Rifle

Butler defeated Woodland Hills 799-58x to 790-36x. No further details were provided.
