Rep. Nesbit appointed to PennSAVE initiative

HARRISBURG — State Rep. Tedd Nesbit, R-8th, has been appointed to the House Majority Policy Committee’s new PennSAVE initiative.

PennSAVE, launched this week, is a Republican-led initiative to find ways to save taxpayer dollars by cutting government waste and inefficiencies.

The group is researching several potential cost-saving measures across state government including possible state agency and program consolidation, unaddressed audit findings and government procurement policies, along with overall waste, fraud and system abuse.

“I am happy to be a part of the task force, and I welcome thoughts, ideas and suggestions from all residents,” Nesbit said.

Residents with ideas can visit www.RepNesbit.com and look for the PennSAVE banner. The initiative will work with other state House and Senate committees, as well as the governor’s office and its executive agencies, to solicit suggestions.
