INDIANA — Slippery Rock University's softball team produced 13 hits in both games in sweeping a doubleheader at Indiana (Pa.) Wednesday.

SRU (16-21) won the first game, 12-6, and took the nightcap, 9-3. It marked The Rock's first twinbill sweep at IUP since 1994.

Kailey Myers had five hits in the doubleheader, knocking in five runs. Adeline Nicholson had two hits and three RBI in the first game. Camie Shumaker won the first game on the mound.

Chloe Sharman was the winning pitcher in the second game for The Rock.

IUP slipped to 13-22-1 with the losses.

SRU plays at Edinboro at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
