Slippery Rock University’s performing arts center was recently given a recognition from the American Institute of Architects.
The performing arts center was awarded a certificate of merit in the institute’s 2025 Design Pittsburgh awards. According to the AIA, the center was recognized for its “vibrant, contemporary home for the arts.”
The recognition cited light-filled spaces, motif of arches and how it blends into the campus as reasons SRU’s performing arts center was chosen. The center includes the Miller Theater on campus.
