Butler girls win Mars Invite

The Butler Junior High girls track and field team captured the Mars 7-8 Invitational recently.
The Golden Tornado tallied 93.3 points in winning the 24-team event, beating out runner-up North Hills by 14 points.
Aubrey Rock won the 100 meters in 13.62 seconds for Butler. Maura Penrod won the triple jump with a leap of 14 feet, 05 inches.
Butler's 4x100 meter relay team of Penrod, Audrey Lehman, Evie Paserba and Rock won the event with a time of 57.1 seconds.
Lehman was second in the 400 meters while Channing Popovich took second in the long jump.
