WORTH TWP - District Judge Lawrence Silvis recently heard these cases:

Thomas J. Bacher, 31, of Sandy Lake waived his case to court. He was charged by state police with driving under the influence, disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving, and moving violations on May 5 on Main Street in Sandy Lake.

Judith Grubbs, 63, of Mount Avery, Ga., had her case held for court. She was charged with retail theft of cigarettes at Country Market in Pine Township by state police in Mercer.

Ben A. Rager, 25, of Jackson Center pleaded guilty to failure to register his address. He was sentenced to six months to a year in prison and a year of state probation. State police charged him after they discovered he was living in Jackson Center, not the Stoneboro address listed. A charge of failure to provide identification was withdrawn.

Roman Tymkiw, 50, of Innisfil, Ontario, Canada had his case held for court. He was charged by state police in Mercer with driving under the influence, disregard for traffic lane, careless driving, and operating unsafe equipment on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.

SLIPPERY ROCK - District Judge Clifford Woessner recently heard these cases:Christopher L. McCracken, 34, of Freedom waived his case to court. He was charged with possession of marijuana, two counts of use/possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, disregard for traffic lanes, careless driving, reckless driving, and violating hazard regulations on Route 528 at Stoney Batter Road.Walter K. Potochny, 52, of Butler waived his case to court. State police in Butler charged him with driving under the influence and exceeding the speed limit by 25 mph or more in a 55-mph area on Route 422 at the Route 19 offramp in Muddy Creek Township.Joseph G. Green, 41, of Butler waived his case to court. He was charged by state police in Butler with two counts of intent to possess controlled substance and use/possession of drug paraphernalia. Police documents said a search of his room at Michael's Motel found cocaine, Inositol, 71 grams of marijuana and crack pipes.Alicia D. Ross, 22, of Charlotte, N.C., waived her case to court. Slippery Rock University Police charged her with driving under the influence and failure to obey a stop sign on Campus Drive in Slippery Rock.Cody R. Smith, 18, of Slippery Rock waived his case to court. He was charged by state police in Kittanning with driving under the influence, purchase of alcohol by a minor and following too closely.Jacklyn J. Stine, 42, of Harrisville waived her case to court. She was charged by state police in Butler with driving under the influence, disregarding traffic lanes and restrictions on alcoholic beverages on May 16 on Route 8 in Slippery Rock Township.Gary A. Whelan, 55, of Franklin waived his case to court. Butler police charged him with four counts of possession with intent to deliver and three counts of intention to possess a controlled substance.
