South Butler board OKs tech contracts
JEFFERSON TWP — The South Butler School Board on Wednesday approved two technological contracts.
Pitt Bull Secure Technologies of Johnstown was approved for a three-year contract.
It has worked with the district in an ancillary capacity, but now will take on a bigger role because the district’s IT director resigned last week.
The company will be paid $206,000 per year.
Board members also approved a five-year print management contract with ComDoc of Summerhill for $11,080 per year.
Also at the meeting, more than $15,000 from the Knoch Knight Legacies Foundation was approved for district use.
About $11,000 will help pay for a Google Chromebook class set at Knoch Middle School, $4,500 will go for a gym scoreboard at the high school, and $2,795 will go to buy STEM music class supplies.
The foundation has contributed more than $50,000 to the district in the past year.
