HERMITAGE, Mercer County — F.N.B. Corp., parent company of First National Bank of Pennsylvania, has completed the purchase of Parkvale Financial.

First National now has more than 260 branches in 45 counties in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.

The company is the third biggest bank in the retail deposit market in the Pittsburgh region. It also was recently named a winner of six 2011 Greenwich Excellence in Banking Awards in Small Business Banking and Middle Market Banking, based on client satisfaction.

LANCASTER — The Butler County Bar Association has been recognized statewide for its development of a pro bono coordinator.The county association was recognized by the Pennsylvania Bar Association at the 46th annual Seminar of the Conference of County Bar Leaders, this past week in Lancaster.The county association created the position of pro bono coordinator to assist with the Butler County Consumer Credit and Mortgage Foreclosure Diversion Program and to help encourage and organize the activities of pro bono lawyers and law students providing representation at semi-monthly credit conciliation conferences of the county court.
