Porch fire quickly extinguished Tuesday afternoon in Butler
A small fire Tuesday, Dec. 16, damaged the front porch of a home in the 300 block of West Cunningham Street in Butler.
The fire, reported around 1:10 p.m., burned a post supporting the porch roof and did not spread into the home, said Butler Bureau of Fire Chief Chris Switala. Firefighters removed some boards from the porch floor to make sure the fire didn’t spread, he said. No one was injured.
In addition to the Butler Bureau of Fire, the Butler Township Volunteer Fire District, VA Butler Fire and Emergency Services, Butler police and Butler Ambulance Service responded to the alarm.
