Advisory in place until 1 p.m. Sunday
National Weather Service Pittsburgh placed much of Western Pennsylvania, including Butler County, under a winter weather advisory Saturday, Dec. 13. It starts at 1 p.m. and lasts until 1 p.m. Sunday.
The service advises that travel could be difficult throughout the period of the advisory. Snow accumulation could reach 2 to 4 inches, and the service said some areas included in the advisory could be upgraded to a winter storm warning if conditions get worse.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike announced it implemented winter weather conditions on portions of the road affected by snow, including Interstates 76 and 376.
