Taylor

Agnes Margaret Paluszak Taylor, 83, formerly of Worth Township, died at 9:08 a.m. Monday at Orc-hard Manor Nursing Home, Pine Township, Mercer County.

Born in Garrett, Ind., Nov. 11, 1923, she was a daughter of Joseph A. Paluszak and Elizabeth Demski.

She was a graduate of New Castle High School and had been a licensed practical nurse at the Grove City Hospital for 12 years. She served as a justice of the peace in Butler County for more than 25 years and assisted her husband in taking care of the Wolf Creek Cemetery in Worth Township for many years.

Mrs. Taylor was a member of the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Slippery Rock and the Christian Mothers of the church. She also belonged to the Butler County Democratic Women.

She loved to crochet and make afghans and doilies. She also loved to make crafts.

Surviving are a daughter, Kathy Fox and her husband, Robert E., of Slippery Rock; two brothers, Joseph Paluszak of North Carolina and Bernard Paluszak of South Carolina; and a son-in-law, Edwin Hines of North Carolina. She also is survived by seven grandchildren, Robert Todd Fox of Slippery Rock, Thomas P. Labor and his wife, Clarissa, of Maryland, Shelby A. Fox of Cleveland, Sharon R. Sortini of Butler and Elizabeth A. Herr and her husband, Jason, and David T. and Joseph W. Hines, all of North Carolina; and four great-grandchildren Ryan William, Makenna Nicole and Sean Thomas Labor and Gabriel Lewis Herr.

Her husband, William Harold Taylor, whom she married April 24, 1942, died Dec. 28, 1998. She also was preceded in death by three children, infant Margaret Elizabeth Taylor, Barbara Taylor Hines and William H. Taylor Jr.; and a sister, Marie Sniezek.

<B>TAYLOR </B>— Friends of Agnes Margaret Paluszak Taylor, who died Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 670 S. Main St., Slippery Rock. The Rev.
