Dorothy J. Hongisto

Dorothy J. Hongisto, 78, of Cabot passed away Tuesday at her home.

She was born Sept. 27, 1931, in Kincaid, W.Va., the daughter of the late Edmond Powers and Annabell (Davis) Powers.

Dorothy enjoyed bowling and gardening and was an excellent cook and baker. She had baked cookies monthly for the Butler Marine Corps. League for 15 years.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who had a very sweet spirit.

Surviving are her husband, Raymond L. Hongisto; two daughters, Cindy and Allan Deible of Reynoldsville and Pamela Moors of Cabot; two granddaughters, Kim and Barth Thomas of Rockton, Pa., and Marcie Scott and her fiance, Steve Williams, of Slippery Rock; a grandson, Alan and Kim Deible Jr. of Rockton, Pa.; six great-grandchildren, Zaden, Colin and Devon Thomas, Alex and Elizabeth Deible and R.J. Marek.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Brian Moors; and five siblings.
