Gallagher

Margaret Mary Gallagher, 81, of New Port Richey, Fla., formerly of Butler, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025.

Born in Butler on Feb. 9, 1944, she was the daughter of John W. and Martha M. Orth of Butler.

Margaret married James “Jim” Gallagher in 1966, and had one son, Keith R. Gallagher, who resides in Tarpon Springs, Fla. with his wife, Jamie Burke Gallagher.

She loved living in Florida and really enjoyed the community she lived in. She was walking a mile every day, chatting with neighbors and friends along the way, and sitting in her sunroom reading every book they had in the library.

She loved her three granddaughters, Hannah Elliott Schluter, Makenzie Elliott Shaw and Olivia Elliott; and great-granddaughter, Mabel Shaw, and always looked forward to the time they spent together. She lived a full life filled with love and made an impact on many lives.

Margaret wished to be cremated with no formal services.
