Home Avenue house fire prompts 2nd alarm response

Thick clouds of smoke rose into the sky Monday afternoon, Dec. 1, as fire departments battled a house fire in Butler Township’s Homeacre neighborhood.
A working structure fire was reported in the 200-block of Home Avenue around 1:30 p.m.
Within 20 minutes, the fire was upgraded to a second alarm blaze, prompting additional resources to be sent to the scene.
Dispatch reports initially indicated the fire was in the rear of the building and that all residents were out of the structure.
Portions of the road were closed off while crews are fighting the fire.
