Shirley G. Nestor
Shirley G. Nestor, 82, of Cranberry Township, formerly of Zelienople, died Sunday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.
Born March 30, 1928, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Ellen (Hallam) Canning.
Mrs. Nestor was a member of the English Lutheran Church, Zelienople.
She was a 1947 graduate of Gladstone High School in Pittsburgh, and she worked at Baldinger's for many years.
Mrs. Nestor was a member of the Silver Sneakers, and she enjoyed quilting and watching reality TV programs.
She is survived by three sons, Gary A. (Jeanette) Nestor of Saxonburg, Arthur E. (Peg) Nestor of Zelienople and Carl E. (Mary Anne) Nestor of Ashland, Ohio; four grandchildren, Chris (Amy) Nestor, Candace (Jim) Bromley, Rebecca (Kaplan) Yalcin and Grace Nestor; three great-grandchildren, Ashley and Kara Bromley and George Nestor; and two sisters-in-law, Virginia Nestor of Pittsburgh and Annabell Nestor of Venice, Fla.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bryce Nestor, who died July 9, 1999, and a brother Lawrence Canning.
<B>NESTOR</B> — Friends of Shirley G. Nestor, who died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert A. Keplinger, her church pastor, officiating.
