5:38 a.m. Saturday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Ryan A. Miano, 23, of Slippery Rock struck a car parked on Fourth Street just south of Orchard Avenue. The accident apparently happened after Miano fell asleep at the wheel, according to a police report.2:39 p.m. Tuesday — An SUV driven by Justin T. Gould, 22, of Butler rear-ended a car on Morton Avenue at Route 8. The collision pushed the car driven by Brad Claypoole, 35, of Butler into the back of another car driven by Renae Applegate-House, 38, of Grove City.Police said Gould was cited for following too closely to another vehicle.
9:48 a.m. Wednesday — Vehicles driven by Brandon Long, 18, and Matthew Hibbard, 18, both of Butler collided at the Butler Senior High School. Police said both drivers were cited for unspecified traffic violations.
7:15 p.m. Sunday — Michael J. Schnitzki, 21, and James J. Smith Jr., 20, both of Evans City are accused of trespassing at a home on Hoot Owl Road in Connoquenessing Township.11 p.m. Saturday — Corey J. Hilliard, 22, of Hilliards allegedly violated a woman's protection from abuse order at a Timblin Road apartment in Clay Township.3:25 a.m. Sunday — A 17-year-old Slippery Rock boy was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car struck a tree along Staff Road in Brady Township. In addition to DUI, the boy, who police did not identify, faces charges of underage drinking and unspecified traffic violations.Saturday — An Italian-made motorcycle was stolen from a garage at a home on Rock Spring Street in Harrisville. The cycle, a 1980 Moto Guzzi II V50, was taken between May 30 and Saturday. Police said they have no suspects.Saturday — An unknown thief stole the Pennsylvania license plate FTM2924 from a car in the visitor's parking lot at the Jennings Environmental Education Center in Brady Township.6:38 p.m. Friday — Edmund A. Bleicher, 55, of Butler was hurt when the motorcycle he was driving struck a sport utility vehicle on Route 422 at Dick Road in Franklin Township. Bleicher, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries.Timothy L. Huff, 57, of Butler, who was driving the SUV, was cited for a stop sign violation.11:52 a.m. Friday — Stephen Schwabenbauer, 59, of Knox, Clarion County, lost control of his speeding truck tractor and crashed at Routes 68 and 422 in Summit Township. The truck overturned and Lick Hill volunteer firefighters were called to help with traffic control.Schwabenbauer was cited for driving at an unsafe speed, accidents involving an overturned vehicle, driving an unregistered vehicle and not wearing a seat belt.8:15 a.m. Friday — An SUV driven by Kimberly A. Pape, 38, of Ellwood City struck a tree along Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Police said Pape was cited for driving an unregistered vehicle and driving without valid inspection.2:50 p.m. May 29 — A boy, who police did not identify, pushed and kicked a teacher at the Chicora Elementary School on Kittanning Street in Chicora. The boy faces a charge of aggravated assault in juvenile court.
2:23 p.m. Sunday — A 17-year-old Ford City boy was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after he was stopped for speeding on Route 28 near exit 18 in South Buffalo Township. The boy, who police did not identify, also faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and unauthorized use of a vehicle.The boy's passengers, 19-year-old Zachary T. Stennett of Worthington and 19-year-old Victoria Kaplon of Rural Valley, both face charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.10:56 p.m. Sunday — Cheryl A. Crytzer, 57, of Kittanning was hurt when she lost control of her car and struck a tree along Ford City Road just east of Arner Road in South Buffalo Township. Crytzer, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township with minor injuries.1:58 a.m. Saturday — Nathan C. Cousins, 23, of Cadogan was arrested for suspicion of DUI after he crashed his vehicle in the 300 block of Ford City Road in South Buffalo Township.8:50 p.m. Wednesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Patricia A. Armentrout, 75, of Elkins, W.Va., struck a deer on Route 28 just east of Horseshoe Drive in South Buffalo Township.
Sunday — Police reported they are investigating a burglary last month at a Springfield Church Road home in Findley Township. Several items including a television were stolen in the May 21 break-in.11:08 p.m. Saturday — Theodore E. Cook II, 57, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after police found him passed out in his still-running pickup truck that was blocking half of the northbound lane on Route 258 near Route 208 in Springfield Township.Thomas D. Knernam, 52, of New Castle was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 258 near Route 208 in Springfield Township.
