Richard D. Henry
Richard D. Henry, 76, of Zelienople died Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospice, Wexford.
Born Nov. 28, 1932, in Fombell, he was the son of the late Ivor F. and Emma (Kolumban) Henry.
Mr. Henry was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Zelienople and was a graduate of Zelienople High School.
Mr. Henry was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran, a life-member of Zelienople American Legion Post 474, a 32nd degree Mason and member of Harmony Lodge 429 F&AM and the New Castle Consistory.
He enjoyed being at his mountain camp, working on the Henry Homestead in Cranberry Township and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Martha A. Henry, who he married Sept. 12, 1959; a son, David F. Henry of Arlington, Va.; a daughter, Diane R. Miller and her husband, Greg, of Zelienople; four sisters, Ramona Love and her husband, Joe, of Sharon, Elsie Rombold and her companion, Fred Bennett, of New Castle, Audrey Stillwagon of Ellwood City and Judy Cook and her husband, Bob, of Beaver Falls; two sisters-in-law, Marie Kniess and Barb Curry, both of Zelienople; a cousin, Franklin Blackstone Jr. and his wife, Bonnie, of Allison Park; two grandchildren, Brooke and Benjamin Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Fields.
<B>HENRY </B>— Friends of Richard D. Henry, who died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at <B>Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Services</B>, 219 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 215 N. Main St., Zelienople, PA 16063, with the Rev. William W. Brewer, officiating. Friends, please meet at the church.
