Valerie Jean Price, 82, formerly of Butler, left her Earthly home to walk with Jesus on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was the daughter of Helen Mesina and James T. Ferris. She was born April 20, 1943.

Val was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and special aunt.

After her retirement from the business world, she devoted her time to family and made delicious cookies, pies and cakes to share with them.

She leaves behind her husband, David, after 57 years of marriage; son, David R. (Emily) Price, of Florence, Ky.; three grandchildren, David James, Marley and Hudson; two sisters, Joyce Zanella and Margaret “Babe” Edinger; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Molly.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Funeral services will be private and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
