James B. Paterson III

James B. "Jimmie" Paterson III, 63, of Butler died at 3:06 p.m. Monday.

Born June 14, 1945, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of James B. Paterson II and Jeanne (Anderson) Paterson Lang.

He graduated from Mars High School in 1963.

Jimmie was a horse trainer at the CMM Equestrian Center in Cabot. He was an accomplished Arabian horse trainer. He trained successfully at many Arabian horse farms in the United States and Canada. Jim was very well known and respected in the Arabian horse community.

Jim is survived by his mother, Jeanne (Anderson) Paterson Lang of Mars; one sister, Diane P. Demblowski of Allison Park; his beloved Karen L. Gerstner of Butler; and two nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, James Bruce Paterson II.

<B>PATERSON</B> — Friends of James B. "Jimmie" Paterson III, who died Monday, May 11, 2009, will be received from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. Services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Harris of Trinity Presbyterian Church officiating.All are welcome to come to a reception in celebration of Jim's life at 6:30 p.m. at the CMM Equestrian Center in Cabot.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Riding for the Handicapped of Western Pennsylvania, P.O.
