James ‘Jim’ Myers Jr.
James “Jim” R. Myers Jr., 91, of Kittanning, formerly of Cabot, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025.
He was born in Mount Pleasant on April 5, 1934, to the late James Sr. and Martha (Van Estenberg) Myers. After graduating high school, Jim honorably served in the U.S. Army as a military police officer. After the Army, he worked in automotive retail.
Jim was very devoted to his family. Aside from his two daughters, his four grandsons were his whole world. Jim was a charter member of Winfield Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed restoring old cars, loved to camp in the deserts and mountains around California, and he even drove across the country many times.
Jim was the beloved husband of the late Mary Lou (Queer) Myers, whom he was married to for 68 years; father of Christine (James Dines) and Jennifer Myers; grandfather of Tyler, Austin (Megan), Asa and Jesse (Alexandria) Foreback; and great-grandfather of Brody, Gunnar and Emma Foreback.
MYERS — All services for James “Jim” R. Myers Jr., who died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, were held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
