Rita M. Shera, 80, of West Sunbury died early Friday morning at her home.

Born March 8, 1929, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Marie (Miller) Birckbichler.

She was a homemaker and member of the St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Debbie) Reeb of Zelienople; two sons, William A. (Michelle) Shera of Clintonville and Wayne J. (Linda) Shera of Middletown, Pa.; six grandchildren, Jessica Shera and Wayne, Jacob, Hillary, Joshua and Amelia Reeb.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Shera, whom she married Sept. 5, 1953. He died June 6, 2003. She also was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother.

<B>SHERA</B> — Funeral services for Rita M. Shera, who died Friday, June 5, 2009, will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. The Rev. James Salberg, pastor, will officiate. Visitation will follow from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
