Bump

Franklin Jack "Frankie" Bump, 56, of 219 Route 68, Karns City, died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at his home after an apparent heart seizure.

Born Dec. 28, 1950, in Brookville, he was a son of Jack Desmonte Bump, who died Oct. 15, 1976, and Bertha Pauline Campbell Bump, who died Aug. 21, 2003.

He was a Protestant.

Mr. Bump was a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam War.

He worked at Penreco in Karns City for 31 years and much of that time was in the shipping department.

Surviving are his wife, Gladys N. Simpson Bump, whom he married Jan. 19, 1973, in Sligo; a daughter and her husband, April Sue and William McClafferty of Kittanning; and two grandchildren, Shane Zachary and Kayla Lynn McClafferty, both of Kittanning. He also is survived by two brothers and their wives, Ralph E. and Virginia Bump of Parker and Philip C. and Debra Bump of Webb, Ala.; two sisters and their husbands, Nancy L. and Gerald F. Bleil of Sumpter, S.C., and Suzanne J. and Edward Heeter of Emlenton; and several nieces and nephews.

A niece, Lori Bleil, died Aug. 12, 1998.

<B>BUMP</B> — Friends of Franklin Jack "Frankie" Bump, who died Saturday, May 26, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home</B>, 102 Argyle St., Petrolia. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Harry Waldroup, a member of the Criswell Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Burial, will full military honors by members of the Chicora American Legion and the VFW Ceremonial Squad, will be held at Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington.
