Frank J. Shaffer, 55, of Valencia, Middlesex Township, died Monday afternoon in Beaver Falls under the care of his family.

Born in Pittsburgh, May 7, 1954, he was the son of the late Chester J. and Veronica Szczepaniak Shaffer, Jr.

He was a transportation director for C.V.S. in Monroeville.

He was a member of Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church in Glade Mills and was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Delaware.

Surviving are two sisters, Kathleen M. Sutter (Terry Panero) of Gibsonia and Mary C. Thompson-Burkert (William) of Mars; and five brothers, Chester J. Shaffer III (Pat) of Middlesex Township, Joseph C. Shaffer (Darlene Peterson) in North Carolina, Phillip M. Shaffer (Brenda) of Karns City, Paul J. Shaffer (Mary) of Penn Township and John R. Shaffer (Rosemarie) of Middlesex Township. He was the beloved uncle of Christine, Laura, Helen, Chester, Jeannette, Shane, Joshua, Jacob, Travis, Tiffany, Taylor, Trevor, Melissa, Kelley, Paul, Allen, Veronica and Matthew. Also surviving are five great-nieces and great-nephews and his former wife, Linda Hudson of Greensburg.

<B>SHAFFER</B> — Friends of Frank J. Shaffer, who died Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Sepulcher Church, Route 8, Glade Mills, with Father Al Semler, pastor, officiating.
