Lois Watterson
Lois Watterson, 91, of Butler, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025.
She was born in Franklin, Pa., on April 15, 1934, to the late Walter E. and Zella R. (Butler) Bickel.
Lois was a school bus driver until her retirement. She was known for being kind, loving, having a smile that could light up a room and, most of all, an excellent mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister.
Lois loved to spend time with her family and animals. She also enjoyed farming, gardening and reading her Bible. Lois was a member of Butler First Church of the Nazarene and the Butler City Hunting and Fishing Club.
Lois was the beloved wife of the late Howard Watterson, whom she married Feb. 5, 1955; mother of Connie Rycroft and Chad (Missy) Watterson; grandmother of Sarah, Michael, Anne, Corri Lynn, Kasy, Kristi, Daniel, Crystal, Greg and Elizabeth; great-grandmother of Tyler, Abbi, Jordan, Stephen, Bethany, Samuel, Khloe, Matthew and Charlie; and great-great-grandmother of Alyssa and Jackson.
Lois was one of 16 children, blessed with 15 siblings, some of whom remain to cherish her memory and others who have gone before her.
Along with her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death by her children, Corwin Watterson and Celena Butchko.
WATTERSON — Family and friends of Lois Watterson, who died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home. Burial will be held privately.
