Jeremy Renner denies claims he sent director explicit pics, threatened to ‘call ICE’

Jeremy Renner has denied a series of allegations raised by filmmaker Yi Zhou, including that he sent her unsolicited sexual messages and threatened to call ICE on the Chinese writer-director.

“The allegations are totally inaccurate and untrue,” a rep for Renner told People.

Zhou, who says she worked with Renner on both the documentary “Chronicles of Disney” as well as an animated film, came forward with her allegations against the 54-year-old Marvel star in a series of Instagram posts over the past few days.

She claimed Renner introduced himself to her “out of the blue” in June with a string of “unwanted” images via WhatsApp and direct messages, “behavior that, according to public reports, he has exhibited before.”

“He convinced me of his sincerity, saying he had been single for a long time and [was] open to a long-term relationship,” she said. “I believed in him, in the power of love and in the possibility of redemption.”

Zhou went on to allege that Renner later “entered into written agreements” with her production company to be involved in the projects, but then “refused” to promote the films. Instead, he denied “any personal relation[ship] or professional collaboration.”

“When I called him out privately about his past misconduct and asked him to behave properly, to respect me as a woman and as a filmmaker, he threatened to call immigration/ICE on me, an act that deeply shocked and frightened me,” Zhou wrote, adding that the “misinformation and intimidation” caused her “personal and reputational harm.”

Renner’s lawyer, Marty Singer, blasted the allegations as “false, outrageous and highly defamatory.” He told People that Renner met Zhou once in July, when she interviewed him for the documentary at a hotel in Reno, Nev.

They shared a “brief consensual encounter,” and then met again in August, Singer said, adding that the actor has not spoken to Zhou in over a month. He has also ignored her alleged “sexually explicit messages expressing her love,” the last of which was sent on Oct. 24, according to the lawyer.

“The true facts are that Ms. Zhou has relentlessly and aggressively harassed and pursued my client for months with no reciprocation on my client’s part, other than a single brief encounter on July 12, 2025,” Singer said.

In separate Instagram posts shared Saturday, Zhou seemingly waved off Singer’s version of events with a series of screenshots she says back her allegations.

“It is my right to correct misinformation about me,” she wrote.

Zhou also claimed that at least four women reached out to her with similar allegations of misconduct and abuse against Renner, and that another victim was preparing to come forward.

“He can’t deny when so many witness the same [behavior],” she said.

Carol Burnett

Carol Burnett donates all of her 140 awards to UCLA for scholarship

Carol Burnett has unloaded a massive haul of her most coveted awards, handing them off to her alma mater in conjunction with an endowment to support aspiring musical theater performers.

The television icon has donated more than 140 industry awards and accolades, amassed over her seven-decade career, to the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television in Los Angeles. They’ll be showcased in the lobby of UCLA’s Freud Playhouse, home to the school’s musical theater productions.

Among the prestigious honors are seven Emmys, six Golden Globes, a Grammy Award, a Tony, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Kennedy Center Honor, multiple Peabody Awards, a Stephen Sondheim Award, the SAG Lifetime Achievement Award and the inaugural Carol Burnett Lifetime Achievement Award for Television from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

Burnett, 92, studied theater and musical comedy at UCLA after graduating Hollywood High School.

The donation of her awards comes as the university announced Thursday that the Carol Burnett Endowed Undergraduate Scholarship, established by a pledge from the star, will be used to financially support “high-potential undergraduate students in the school’s Ray Bolger Musical Theater Program.”

The scholarship will award a new student each year with funds to help them offset the cost of tuition and fees. The first recipient is Alexa Cruz, who’s currently enrolled as a member of the class of 2029.

“I am so pleased that, with this endowment of the Carol Burnett Scholarship to the UCLA School of Theater, Film & Television, students will be given an opportunity akin to what UCLA gave me when I enrolled fresh out of high school,” the “Palm Royale” star said in a statement. “I found my true passion at UCLA, and in this scholarship lies the hope that it will do the same for many others for many years to come.”

Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle returning to acting after 8-year hiatus

Megan Markle is reportedly getting back to work — as an actress.

The American-born Duchess of Sussex was spotted on the set of “Close Personal Friends” in Pasadena, California, on Wednesday, People magazine reported.

Marking her first acting gig since 2017, the Jason Orley-directed film stars Lily Collins, Brie Larson, Jack Quaid and Henry Golding.

Markle, who stepped away from Hollywood after she and Prince Harry became engaged seven years ago, will reportedly play herself in the Amazon MGM Studios romantic comedy.

A source told the outlet that she seemed “relaxed and happy” with her small role.

“Meghan was on the set today. She has a small part. She seemed very relaxed and happy. She introduced herself to everyone and was very sweet and down-to-earth,” the insider told People.

“Close Personal Friends” is about a couple who become fast friends with a celebrity couple during a trip to Santa Barbara, California. Filming reportedly started in London in September before shifting to California.

The new project is better a fit than other acting offers she has been “swamped” with according to an insider.

“This is a massive moment for Meghan and signifies a return to doing what she truly loves. She has been swamped with offers, but this one felt right,” an unidentified source told The Sun. “It is Meghan’s way of gently putting her toe back in the water and seeing how she enjoys being back on set. Everyone involved is super excited and have been sworn to secrecy about her involvement.”

Markle had a career breakthrough as intrepid paralegal Rachel Zane on the USA legal drama “Suits.” She portrayed the role for seven seasons.

The basic cable network confirmed her exit in 2017.

Before then, the 44-year-old Los Angeles native had bit parts in the films “Get Him to the Greek, “The Candidate” and “Horrible Bosses.”

In 2020, she and her husband announced they were stepping away from their senior royal duties and relocating to California.

Since the move, the runaway royals took America by storm with Harry’s headline-grabbing memoir, “Spare,” the Netflix documentary “Harry & Meghan” and The Sussexes’ podcast production company, Archewell Audio.

In March, Markle launched the new Netflix lifestyle series “With Love, Meghan,” which was slammed by critics after its premiere on the streaming platform.
