EC school gets new leader
JACKSON TWP — Evans City Middle School is getting a new leader.
The Seneca Valley School Board on Monday approved the hiring of Timothy Eiler as principal at the middle school, which houses fifth and sixth graders.
Eiler is replacing Mandy Toy, who left to take a position in the Armstrong School District.
Most recently, Eiler served as principal at Oakview Elementary School in the Lakeview School District in Mercer County for more than four years. He also has experience as a Title I reading specialist and high school technology teacher at Lakeview.
Additionally, he taught middle school reading for Northern Lebanon School District and was an elementary teacher in the New Covenant Christian School, both schools are in Lebanon, Pa.
Eiler has a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Geneva College and a master's of education in teaching and curriculum with a literary focus from Pennsylvania State University-Harrisburg.
He earned his principal certification at Slippery Rock University.
