Butler Area High School maintenance worker on leave pending investigation
A maintenance worker at Butler Area Senior High School has been placed on administrative leave by the Butler Area School District pending an investigation into allegations of repeatedly entering the girls’ locker room.
In a social media post, a district parent reported hearing from her daughter, who attends the high school, that the employee entered the locker room while students were changing clothes on two consecutive days “at the exact same time of day” and walked across the entire room while pushing a cart before leaving.
Butler Area superintendent Brian White confirmed the district is investigating an employee, but declined to provide further details citing legal restrictions on discussing personnel matters.
“The incidents have been reported to the school district and the employee involved is currently on leave, pending a full investigation of the incidents,” White said.
