Top-seed Fairview routed No. 4 Slippery Rock 8-0 in Monday’s District 10 Class 2A boys soccer semifinals.

The loss ends the Rockets’ season one game short of qualifying for next week’s PIAA tournament.

Joey Chiocco recorded at least three goals in Fairview’s win, according to Erie media reports. Jackson Chiocco also had at least two goals.

The Tigers will face No. 2 Harbor Creek, which beat third-seed Cathedral Prep 3-1 in the other semi, in Thursday’s final.
