A sweep in both doubles matches and a win in Singles 2 has North Catholic girls tennis a win away from playing for a state title.

Macaria Stall beat District 3 champ Lancaster Catholic’s Jane Brubaker 6-3, 7-6 (3) on Friday at Hershey Racquet Club; Doubles 1 pair Ava Conley and Leah Kernan won 2-6, 6-2, 6-2; and Doubles 2 pair Kaitlyn Abel and Claire Elliott won 6-1, 6-4 to send the Trojanettes into the PIAA Class 2A Girls Team Tennis Championships semifinals.

North, the WPIAL runner-up, will face D2 champ Scranton Prep, 3-2 winners over Erie Cathedral Prep, in Saturday’s semis at noon. The final will be held at 6 p.m.
